There has been a lot of piling on Senator George Allen. Poor guy.
It all started with his "macaca" comment that confirmed suspicions in some people's minds about Allen's racial views. But what if we were all wrong about this?What if he meant to say "machaca"?
I realize that this would be the eight or ninth reason that his campaign would give, but this should be explored. Some enterprising reporter should ask Allen about any possible Hispanic background. No, wait, that would be "casting aspersions," right? Not that being Hispanic is bad or anything, but saying someone is Hispanic is insulting. Got it?
